Mendix Software Development
 Agility in Business Applications

FraternIT approach

Any approach for executing work should be simple and should simplify the work. Our job is to deliver business applications for and together with our customers. We build applications that automate business processes and stay in tune with the demands and expectations of our customers. We acknowledge that applications are never finished but always evolving.

FraternIT strives for simplicity by delivering repeatable quality. Our results are delivered by the combination of our staff and the Mendix Business Agility Platform. Developing apps with Mendix starts where many software projects had an early end. Mendix offers an out-of-the-box platform for any business application. That is why building apps with Mendix allows the production of business logic to start immediately. In short: the technical development of software is automated by Mendix. Therefore our developers are Business Application Engineers. Each FraternIT Application Engineer is a responsible, business seasoned and communicative professional who can understand and translate process logics into full blown business apps. They are tech savvy and have a background in Business Studies.

The building blocks that represent the FraternIT approach are the Application Collaboration Teams, ACTs. ACTs represent our belief in the Agile promise of customer-involvement, collaboration, properly working software and responsible individuals. Each ACT consists of 2 Application Engineers that carry direct responsibility towards our customers. The level of their responsibility can vary from end responsibility for a project to responsibility for a functional module out of an application. We are convinced that high productivity and punctuality are best served by minimzing the need for coordination and mutual adjustment within development teams.

ACTs have:

- direct contact with the project owner at the customer's side

- responsibility for delivery of working software

- full capability to create and maintain project planning, to execute business analysis, to develop and test apps

- their own responsibility in organizing work and dividing tasks

As already mentioned, ACTs are the building blocks of the FraternIT software projects. The smallest thinkable project is executed by 1 ACT, taking complete responsibility for the FraternIT part of the project. Large size projects will be realized using more than 1 ACT, but under central responsibility of 1 ACT consisting of our most senior professionals. In larger projects it is possible that different types of ACTs will perform. For example specialists for integration challenges, the creation of specific widgets etc.
